Hyperfine-Structure Separation, Nuclear Magnetic Moment, and Hyperfine-Structure Anomaly of Cesium-131

Abstract
The atomic-beam magnetic-resonance method was used to obtain the hyperfine-structure separation Δν, the nuclear magnetic dipole moment μI, and the hyperfine-structure anomaly Δ of Cs131. Independent values of μ1 and Δν were obtained by observing one of the ΔF=±1 doublets in a field-independent region. The results of the measurements, made in the S122 electronic ground state, are Δν=13181.375(2) Mc/sec, μ1(uncorr)=+3.517(2) nm, and Δ133131=0.45(5)%. Possible nuclear ground states for Cs131 are discussed.
