Abstract
Domain walls are studied in a one-dimensional discrete model derived from the classical Landau expansion of the free energy. For ferroelectric and antiferroelectric crystal structures the shape of the walls is calculated exactly and their activation energy is determined. It is shown that for this energy the discreteness of the lattice plays an important role, particularly in the antiferroelectric state. Keywords
