L., a white woman aged 44, states that about fifteen months ago she noticed an eruption on her wrists. There was no itching. Some months later a similar eruption appeared on the vulva and the inner aspect of the thighs and on the tongue and the buccal mucosa. A hysterectomy was performed six years ago, and now she has symptoms of the menopause. Examination reveals an eruption involving the flexor aspect of both forearms, the buccal mucosa, the dorsum of the tongue, the vulva and the inner aspect of the thighs. The individual lesion is a glistening white, firm, slightly elevated polygonal papule. Most of the lesions are discrete, but grouping is also noted.
