Abstract
Car-casses were found to have temps. higher than those of the atmosphere due partially to heat absorbed from the sun, but principally to heat generated by blowfly larvae. Temps. 50[degree] F above that of the atmosphere have been observed in larval masses. The heat present in carcasses enables blowflies to continue development when weather conditions are unfavorable. Keywords
