Distinctive Protein Patterns in Functional Psychoses.

Abstract
Summary Analytical ultracentrifugation of the sera of patients with manic-depressive psychoses demonstrated different mean concentrations of protein fractions than were found in patients with schizophrenia. Values were similar for the comparative patient samples within 2 different hospital populations. Sera from manic-depressive and schizophrenic patients could be differentiated by their 19S levels.
