Bleeding from the Uterus Caused by Chloroma

Abstract
A postmenopausal woman with uterine bleeding had a green tumor of the uterus and another in the uterine adnexa. Although the pathologic diagnosis was anaplastic neoplasm and the leukocyte count and smear of peripheral blood were normal, the diagnosis of chloroma was substantiated by the finding of the changes of acute myelogenous leukemia in a smear of the bone marrow. The occurrence of a green myelo-blastic tumor in the uterus and in a woman of her age is exceedingly rare. Pertinent features about chloroma are reviewed.
