Abstract
The effect of correlations between nucleons is discussed for the integrated cross section of photonuclear reactions, considering only the central force. The two-body potential used is well-behaved and velocity-dependent. The calculations performed by first-order perturbation theory give an increase of about 14% for the integrated cross section above the value found by neglecting correlations. Keywords
