Abstract
We calculate the thermal resistivity and Lorenz number due to scattering of conduction electrons from localized spin fluctuations, using a model appropriate for nearly-magnetic transition-metal impurities in a host of similar electronic structure. The temperature dependence of the Lorenz number, which is determined by the characteristic energy of the spin-fluctuation excitation spectrum, is predicted for and related alloys assuming the spin-fluctuation model is applicable.
