Abstract
Generalised chirp-like (GCL) polyphase sequences have the property that they can be modulated by a string of arbitrary complex numbers of unit magnitude, retaining the ideal periodic autocorrelation function and optimum crosscorrelation function. In the Letter, the large subclass of GCL sequences is derived which incorporate all the known different classes of polyphase sequences with ideal periodic autocorrelation and with minimum alphabets, such as Milewski sequences and the generalised Frank sequences. Keywords
