Abstract
The authors attempt to mimic the radial keratotomy (RK) environment and demonstrate temporal considerations regarding corneal thickness change. Four (4) eyes of human volunteers are used in this study all measured with the same ultrasound pachymeter to determine varying corneal thickness changes and how they relate to corneal hydration during 3 instances: 1) simple corneal exposure; 2) irrigation with balanced salt solution; and 3) application of sodium hyaluronate. Keywords
