Abstract
The saline-soluble seed protein extracts of two varieties of Brassica nigra, B. Oleracea, B. campestris, B. carinata, B. juncea, and B. napus were investigated. The β-galactosidases, β-glucosidases, and esterases were detected after electrophoresis of the protein extracts in strach gels. Serological methods were also applied to some of these extracts. The methods were used in order to investigate the possibility of amphidiploidy within the genus. The analysis of the seed proteins of suggested hybrids with references to those of their putative parents is reported in this paper and gives evidence to support the suggestion of hybridization. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
