ANAESTHETIC MANAGEMENT OF "PRUNE BELLY" SYNDROME: Case Report

Abstract
A 14-month-old boy suffering from the “prune belly” syndrome was anaesthetized for surgery of the urogenital tract. Postoperative respiratory insufficiency was treated with oxygen therapy and IPPV and the patient made a successful recovery. The problems of anaesthesia in association with the “prune belly” syndrome are discussed.
