Abstract
This article presents a concise overview of the most important decision‐making structures in South Africa. It is clear from the article that the State Security Council and its substructures are the most important elements of the decision‐making process. Various political implications flowing from such evidence are identified, as well as alternate avenues for research into decision‐making processes. Keywords
