A ‘Quality of Life’ Model for Social Work Practice in Health Care

Abstract
The author reviews the concept of the quality of health care and provides a new definition that includes both medical and psychosocial components. She proposes that a “quality of life” model—which structures effective communication between patients and health professionals—be initiated by social workers in health care.
