Abstract
At the meeting of the American Medical Association held in June, 1907, I had the honor of taking part in the symposium on milk, held in this Section. At tha time I submitted some observations on the origin an progress of the movement for the betterment of th milk supply at the national capital Attention as called to statements made in the "Report on Typhoid Fever in the District of Columbia,"1submitted by the medical society of the city to the House Committee on the District in 1894, and to the report of the Washington Milk Conferene. This report was issued subsequently, Aug. 20, 1907, by the Department of Agriculture.2 Consideration of this subject is again desirable from the facts that national, state and municipal authorities have not yet fully realized the gravity of the situation; that many physicians still appear to be either ignorant or indifferent toKeywords
