Abstract
The variable-region (V) subgroup determined by amino acid sequence analysis of H and L chains of 2 human monoclonal cold agglutinins with the new anti-Gd specificity was reported. Both proteins belong to the VHIII subgroup of H chains; one L chain falls into the V.kappa.I subgroup, the other has a blocked N-terminus which has not been observed in human .kappa. chains. The comparison of anti-Gd with anti-I/-i or anti-Pr cold agglutinins indicates that anti-Gd differs from other cold agglutinins with respect to V subgroup. The data extend previous findings on the restriction of certain antibodies to distinct V subgroups. This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
