Abstract
Sleep paralysis in a patient whose episodes incorporated the experience of the entire body feeling extremely small is described. The psychological implications of the paralysis and her microsomatognosia are discussed. Comparisons are made with other perceptual distortions involving the sense of change in body size. The characteristics of sleep paralysis and associated personality patterns are delineated. Experiences of patients in hypnosis, especially hypnotherapy and hypnoanalysis, are discussed. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
