Abstract
Assuming that two neutrons in form a ‘‘halo’’, we derive phenomenologically the narrow component of the width of the momentum distribution of from the fragmentation of using a diffractive excitation model. The binding energy of the two neutrons in the halo is estimated and the momentum widths of other heavy fragments are also given.
