Photoreaktionen von Iminiumsalzen mit Methanol und mit Formamid

Abstract
By irradiation in methanol at ∼250 nm of iminium salts, e.g. cyclohexylidene‐pyrrolidinium perchlorate (1), in the absence of oxygen and in the presence of benzophenone as sensitizer, good yields of methanol addition products to the C,N‐double bond (e.g. 8) could be obtained. These can be classed as β‐amino‐alcohol derivatives.
