Abstract

A compound Cu₃TiO₄ was found to exist in the ternary system CuO-Cu₂O-TiO₂. The crystal structures of two modifications are very similar and contain Cu⁺ with linear, Cu²⁺ and Ti⁴⁺ with trigonal distorted octahedral coordination.
