Abstract
In a series of 68 unselected patients with rheumatic mitral and/or aortic valvular disease, tomo-grams were taken to evaluate calcification of the mitral value. The tomograms of 24 patients revealed calcification in varying severity. Calcification did not depend on age nor the time elapsed since the rheumatic infection. Keywords
