Abstract
Summary The composition and pH of the suspending medium were shown to be interdependent effectors of thein vitro thermal inactivation of herpes simplex virus (HSV). In addition, enhanced thermal sensitivity of HSV at alkaline pH was a medium dependent effect and, therefore, is not an inherent property of the virus. Keywords
