Abstract
It has been shown that the combination of thyrotrophin and nor-adrenaline, each in a dose which is ineffective when given alone, increases the amount of the PBI131 in the plasma of the thyroid vein. The enhancing effect of nor-adrenaline was clearly observed when the thyroid-stimulating dose of TSH was fixed at a suboptimal level, which did not make the thyroid respond to the full limits of its functional capacity. Under the experimental conditions described, it appears reasonable to assume a functional synergism between TSH and nor-adrenaline.Keywords
