Abstract
This paper compares the thermal properties of thick (2.125 ") versus thin (0.212 ") laminates of glass/epoxy composites. The influence of post-curing thick laminates on the hysteresis loop generated during heating-cooling cycles of linear coefficient of ther mal expansion (LCTE) measurement has been examined. Problems associated in the measurement of LCTE of thick laminates using dilatometry and strain gages are dis cussed.Keywords
