Abstract
The radical (Me3Si)2N·, generated by u.v. photolysis of (Me3Si)2NN(SiMe3)2 or of (Me3Si)2NOSiMe3, readily abstracts hydrogen from hydrocarbons, adds to ethylene, to phosphorus(III) compounds, and to t-butyl isocyanide, and is hence much more reactive than the dimethylaminyl radical.Keywords
