Abstract
The deflection of an atomic beam passing a standing-wave laser field in front of an oscillating mirror occurs by chaotic diffusive momentum transfer in a classical description and, as we show, is limited by dynamical localization quantum mechanically. An experiment to observe this quantum effect in an atomic beam is proposed. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
