Abstract
Gambling as a recreation and touristic activity is experiencing rapid growth in the United States. However, little research exists on the impact of gambling on communities, particularly in cities with diversified economies. This report presents a plan for an inter disciplinary five-year study of the impacts of riverboat and land-based gambling on the city of New Orleans. Keywords
