Abstract
For elucidating the receptor site of antiinflammatory arylacetic acids, some modifications were made on 4-aroy-1-indancarboxylic acids (I) which have potent antiinflammatory activities. Modifications were introduced on the characteristic parts of I and 1-methylated derivatives, tetralin analogs and benzyl analogs of I were prepared. These compounds showed weaker activities than the parent compound I. 1-Indancarboxylic acid is the pharmacologically effective derivative of arylacetic acid. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
