Abstract
An extensive survey for pulsars has been undertaken using observations at the Molonglo Radio Observatory and the Australian National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Parkes. Essentially all of the sky south of declination +20° was uniformly searched, resulting in the detection of 224 pulsars. Of these, 155 were new detections, bringing the total number of known pulsars to 304. Parameters including positions, periods, dispersion measures, pulse widths and mean flux densities are given for all of the newly detected pulsars and, where there is an improvement over previously published values, for the previously known pulsars also. Three of the new objects have dispersion measures > 500 cm−3 pc and one has a period > 4 s.Keywords
