Abstract
The effect of the Coulomb force on low energy proton–proton scattering is examined when the nuclear interaction is represented by a rank one separable potential of Tabakin's type. The scattering length which is obtained by switching off the Coulomb force is found to be −20.0 F. This value is appreciably different from those for local realistic potentials. This anomaly is similar to the one which was recently found by Sauer. Keywords
