Abstract
The hyperfine structure of various isotopes of first-row atoms is investigated using configuration-interaction wavefunctions. The work extends earlier references by including systematically one- and two-electron excitations. Three-electron excitations were found to be unimportant. Generally good agreement is obtained with experimental AJ values. Keywords
