Abstract
Measurements of the electrical resistivity and the specific heat reveal anomalies in pure cobalt and FCC cobalt alloys, similar to the observed anomalies in FCC iron alloys. The correspondence between the anomalies in FCC iron alloys is demonstrated for pure cobalt in a quantitative manner. Thus the existence of thermally excited localised electronic states is not restricted to FCC iron alloys. Keywords
