State-space synthesis of log-domain oscillators

Abstract
A state-space synthesis of oscillators based on log compression is presented. The approach is an extension of the recently proposed current-mode log domain filter synthesis methodology. Both simulated and measured results demonstrate that very low distortion oscillators can be synthesised at several megahertz using simple processing building blocks and off-the-shelf transistor arrays.
