Spectroscopic studies involving two-step processes in the reactionSi28(d, p)Si29(52+)

Abstract
Particle-γ-ray angular correlations have been studied in the Si28(d, p)Si29(52+, 2.03 MeV) reaction and subsequent γ-ray decay to the Si29 ground state. The calculated correlations represent the data well near the stripping peak, and show appreciable sensitivity to the details of the two-step reaction processes. This sensitivity allows the determination of structure information about excited core components of the nuclear wave function.
