Abstract
Summary This is the case of a 29-year-old man with ankylosing spondylitis who, after 6 weeks of successful treatment with Butazolidin, had duodenal ulcer. After an interval of 6 weeks Butazolidin was again prescribed with good results and no complications. 3 months later the patient absorbed in one single dose 10 g. of Butazolidin with the following consequences: temporary leucocytosis with toxic degenerative changes in the bone marrow, liver lesions which after functional testing was classified amongst the obstruction type. Then, but only then, there was a relapse of ulcus and rapidly passing hemorrhages of the urinary tract. Keywords
