Lipoprotein-Cholesterol in Well-Trained Athletes

Abstract
In 44 male power athletes and 52 sedentary male studients serum lipoprotein-cholesterol and serum triglycerides were investigated. There is a remarkable difference of -0.34 mmol/l (P < 0.001) in HDL-cholesterol in the power athlete group. This difference is unaffected by body weight and may be a consequence of the specific power training form.
