Abstract
This paper briefly reviews the techniques which are available for providing three-dimensional or quasi-three-dimensional images. There follows a discussion of the general requirements which should be satisfied by any three-dimensional television system (3DTV). In particular, 3DTV visual image quality is considered at length. Keywords
