Abstract
Relatively deep rectangular concrete beams were tested to failure under bending and shear loading. The beams had longitudinal tension and compression reinforcement. Concrete strength, length-depth ratio, quantity of longitudinal steel, and the quantity and type of web steel was varied. The strength and behavior was related to that observed in conventional beams under similar loading conditions. Keywords
