Abstract
Using a special cell-line from Utrecht, derived from human amniotic cells, it was possible to isolate poliovirus selectivity when antisera against 6 types of coxsackievirus B were added to the tissue culture. The method was tested in connection with the epidemiological investigation of a poliomyelitis infection in Sweden during 1977. Poliovirus was present in all neighboring sewage plants, indicating a wide viral distribution in the area. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
