Abstract
The use of a curved teflon needle is recommended for transtracheal puncture and nonselective bronchography. The percutaneous catheter replacement technique of Seldinger has been successfully applied to selective and subselective bronchial catheterization in over 100 patients. It is emphasized that subselective bronchial catheterization is an important diagnostic tool that should be used not only for bronchography, but also as a means of aspirating sterile secretion for pathologic and bacteriologic examinations. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
