Abstract
About 100 adult albino rats were sacrificed 1-21 days following production of lesions in the various thalamic nuclei with the Krieg stereotaxic machine. Using formula 6 of Cajal, the author demonstrated the surrounding normal structures, the lesion, and both traumatic and Wallerian fiber degeneration. The precise staining technique is well outlined and 6-8 day preparations are described in detail. Keywords
