Abstract
The impacts of airline deregulation have been the subject of considerable research. The work generally falls into two categories. The first analyzes the impacts of deregulation on industry structure and conduct. Route structures, marketing strategies, and patterns of market entry, exit, and concentration are among the topics considered in these studies. Despite this breadth of subject matter, investigations in this category are similar in their focus on “value-neutral” impacts and avoidance of normative issues. Keywords
