Endometriosis is defined as the presence of glandular and stromal endometrial tissue outside the uterus. It occurs most frequently in the reproductive organs, other pelvic viscera, and the peritoneum and is estimated to be present in 3 to 10 percent of all women of reproductive age. Among those with pelvic pain or infertility, its reported incidence ranges from as low as 20 percent to as high as 90 percent.14 In most studies, however, the diagnosis was not confirmed by biopsy, and there is substantial interobserver variation in visual diagnosis. The current system for staging endometriosis is a revised version . . .Keywords
