Abstract
A representation of the relativistic Brueckner G matrix by an effective interaction Lagrangian is proposed. This Lagrangian contains the four mesons σ, ω, π (pseudovector), and ρ (vector), with density-dependent coupling constants. It is shown that Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations of nuclear matter using this effective interaction can reproduce well the results of the Dirac-Brueckner Hartree-Fock approach. Keywords
