Angular Diameter Measurements of the Radio Sources Cygnus (19N4A) and Cassiopeia (23N5A) on a Wavelength of 10.7 cm

Abstract
The apparatus used in measuring the angular diameters of radio sources at a wavelength of 10.7 cm is described. Results for two directions at right angles are given for both Cassiopeia (23N5A) and Cygnus (19N4A). These show that the former is circularly symmetrical and much the same size as it is at metre wavelengths, while the latter is markedly asymmetrical with a major axis that may be slightly larger at the higher frequency. The position angle of this major axis has been found to be 109° ± 2°.Keywords
