Abstract
Two cases of giant cell myocarditis are described. In the first patient, the diagnosis was made during life from examination of the left atrial appendage removed at valvotomy for the relief of mitral stenosis. In the absence of an obvious cause, the lesion was regarded as chronic myocarditis of unknown origin. In the second, giant cell myocarditis was present in association with Wegener''s syndrome. Keywords
