Abstract
The design and performance of a discharge-excited N2 laser which emits 7-ns-long pulses of 337.1-nm wavelength at a 300-Hz repetition rate is described. The peak power is 150 kW at 50 pps and the shot-to-shot amplitude stability is ±1.5%. The construction compromises between requirements of high power, high repetition rate, and good stability. Keywords
