Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A thirteen-year-old girl entered the hospital complaining of pain in back of the left knee and in the hips.The symptoms were first noted one and a half years prior to admission, following strenuous activity or occasionally after prolonged sitting in one position. The pain was usually relieved by resting the leg. X-ray films were taken at the time of onset of the pain and were reported as normal. However, repeat films six months later revealed undescribed changes. The patient was then placed in a spica cast for three months, followed by a nonweight-bearing . . .
