Abstract
In an open evaluation, soft gelatin capsules containing 20 mg temazepam (Euhypnos Forte®) were administered in doses of 40–60 mg to 134 patients from twenty-two general practices. The patients selected by the general practitioners were those known to require hypnotics but in whom conventional doses had proven unsatisfactory. Of the 134 patients who entered the trial, 104 preferred the higher doses of two or three capsules. Eighty-eight per cent of these patients found Euhypnos Forte to be ‘very good’ or ‘good’ and 69% expressed preference for Euhypnos over their customary medication. Eighty-eight per cent of these patients experienced no hangover effect. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
