Abstract
Bulk samples of Si were homogeneously irradiated by 35-MeV protons. Superconducting critical temperatures , residual resistivities , and upper critical fields were measured for magnetic fields up to 14 T and temperatures from 1.4 K up to . The observed temperature dependence of is consistent with strong paramagnetic limiting and small spin-orbit scattering. Based on our collected data, estimates are provided for the electron-phonon coupling parameter and the band density of states . These estimates suggest that for radiation-damaged Si a general relation of the form exists, where and are positive constants.
